1. Overview

StreamNavigator LLC ("StreamNavigator," "we," "us," or "our") operates streamnavigator.ai and its related tools, including Streaming Navigator, Contractor Navigator, Property Tax Navigator, Home Savings Navigator, Rental Navigator, Subscription Navigator, Government Money Finder, Home Maintenance Navigator, Landlord Navigator, Insurance Navigator, Purchase Navigator, HOA Navigator, and Closing Navigator (together, the "Navigators" or the "Service").

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Service, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Information we collect

Account information

If you create an account (for example, on the Streaming Navigator dashboard), we collect your first name, email address, and password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider, Supabase, and are hashed — StreamNavigator never sees or stores your password in plain text.

Navigator submissions

Several Navigators (including Contractor, Property Tax, Home Savings, Rental, HOA, Insurance, and others) ask you to submit an email address, short answers to form questions, and — where relevant — documents you upload (for example, a contractor's estimate, an HOA budget, or an insurance renewal notice). We collect and store this information to generate the report or guidance you're paying for.

Tracked subscriptions (Streaming Navigator)

If you use Streaming Navigator's dashboard, we store the subscriptions, shows, and sports you choose to track, and the reminders and price data associated with them, so we can show you savings estimates and activity reminders.

Payment information

We do not collect or store your card number, expiration date, or CVC. Payments are processed entirely by Stripe. See Payments below.

Information we do not collect

We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising, and we do not run third-party analytics or advertising scripts on the Service. We use your browser's local storage only to keep you signed in and to remember an in-progress Navigator submission while you complete payment.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account and authenticate you when you log in;
• Generate the report, comparison, or guidance associated with the Navigator you purchased, including by sending submitted documents and form answers to our AI analysis provider (see below);
• Process payments and match them to your submission;
• Send you transactional email — for example, account confirmation, a completed report, or a reminder you asked for;
• Respond to your support requests sent to hello@streamnavigator.ai;
• Maintain the security and reliability of the Service, and detect and prevent misuse.

We do not use your submissions or documents to train AI models, and we do not sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers ("subprocessors") that help us operate StreamNavigator, and only to the extent needed to provide the Service:

• Supabase — hosts our database, file storage, and account authentication.
• Anthropic — processes the documents and form answers you submit to a Navigator, in order to generate your report or analysis. Anthropic does not receive your account password or payment details.
• Stripe — processes all payments and, for Streaming Navigator subscriptions, manages billing and the customer billing portal.
• Vercel — hosts the website and the serverless functions that power it.

We do not otherwise sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we'll take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be protected.

5. Payments

All payments are handled by Stripe. When you check out, you're taken to a Stripe-hosted payment page (or Stripe's embedded checkout); your card details go directly to Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored on StreamNavigator's servers. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the information you provide there. We receive confirmation that a payment was made, the amount, and an identifier we use to match your payment to your Navigator submission.

6. Data retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active.

Documents you upload to a Navigator are deleted automatically 90 days after you submit them. This runs on a schedule, not on request. A document you start uploading but never submit is deleted within 24 hours. We keep the report generated from your documents, and the record of the transaction, for as long as reasonably needed to answer follow-up questions and to comply with our legal and accounting obligations — so you can still read a report after the documents behind it are gone.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls on our database and storage, and hashed password storage through Supabase. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we can't guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices & rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@streamnavigator.ai from the email address on your account or submission. We'll respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA); we'll honor applicable requests consistent with those laws.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective means you accept the updated policy.
